Spring has Arrived

Spring is here and we are loving it. It is so wonderful being able to go outside and play. Leah, as you can see from these pics, couldn't be more happy with the toys nature has provided. Sticks and walnuts and most recently rocks have become the toys of choice. Leah walks around the yard in search of her treasures...always having one for each hand. Thankfully the "put everything in your mouth" faze is lightning up. It is amazing how Leah thinks she must have a taste of everything...and I'm not talking food.

This week being that it is spring break I thought I would do my Spring cleaning as well as some outside projects. Be so proud....I have managed to clean the whole house plus clean all the ceiling fans, wash all the windows, wipe down all the base boards and dust everything imaginable! Outside I have also worked up my landscaping including re-edging, plant my tulip bulbs in a new flower bed, prep for tomato plants, weed and clean up around herb garden, and clean the car inside and out. Wew....that was a lot and it's only Friday. Tomorrow we will mulch everything and get ready for our garden. I am so excited to be ahead of the game instead of scrambling like we have the past few years. I am really praying that our garden does well this year. We have made a lot of mistakes in the past and am looking forward to taking what we've learned and giving it another try.

Besides all this work around the house Leah got her first cold. I am so thankful for how long she has been able to go without catching anything. I give a lot of credit to breast milk (God given liquid gold)! It was so miserable seeing her struggle and fight through it, but she is on the mend and only has a little cough hanging on. She has been so kind as to share her bug with Nic and I both. Nic managed to get the full blown cold while I have had a sore throat and lost my voice. We are both doing better, but should probably stop and take care of ourselves more then we are.

FYI the first pic of Leah I should explain. I was getting her to say her name and focus on the camera because she is always on the go and distracted...especially outside. I managed to catch her on the Leee. Well for now that's it...I'm going to bed!
